Today's Día Reflection

Day by day, día por día

Let’s see ourselves as part of the Día National Community connected by our commitment to the potential of each child and to the pleasure and power of literacy.

I'm posting a Reflection each day during April in honor of Dia’s 15th Anniversary. All thirty Reflections will be available as a downloadable pdf at the end of the month.

Double Dynamos for April

The announcement of today's Dia Dynamos brings the total to 15 in honor of Dia's 15th Anniversary this month!

Today's post is a long one because we're honoring two individuals and so have two interviews to share.

Another Test Post

Happy Valentine's Day to each of you who visits my blog! In Spanish, this day has various names. My favorite is El día del amor y de la amistad because the name celebrates both love and friendship.

Love is all around ... all year long. My book for teens, Dizzy in Your Eyes, is a collection of 50 poems about love. SLJ said "Teachers in need of a fresh new avenue for teaching poetic form, lovers of language, and teens in search of a broader definition of love will find it here.”

or

Kirkus said "The poet’s voice is multifaceted: tender, humorous and joyful but also profound  … "
